Senior Support Worker – Treharris £13.75 to £14.20 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience) Full time – 45.5 hours per week
Do you want a rewarding role with an excellent work-life balance? Do you want to work as part of a team that genuinely cares? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people—and, in the future, adults too? If so, this is the job for you.
Priority Childcare provides real support from real people. We are focused on the future, and our small, welcoming homes are staffed by supportive teams who build trusting relationships with the individuals in our care, helping them feel safe, secure and valued. We currently support children with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them reach their full potential and move towards independence.
Both Ty Banwen and its neighbouring service, Ty Aelwyd, have been rated Excellent in recent CIW audits, reflecting our commitment to high‑quality care, strong leadership, and positive outcomes for the people we support.
As part of our long‑term development, Ty Banwen will transition to supporting adults by 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a time of positive change, contributing to a service that evolves while continuing to deliver exceptional care.
Ty Banwen is located in the Taff Bargoed Valley town of Treharris and offers a spacious garden for outdoor activities and relaxation. Directly behind Ty Banwen is our sister service, Ty Aelwyd, which also provides a supportive, nurturing environment and works closely with the Ty Banwen team. Together, these services form a strong, collaborative hub of care within the local community. The homes are well connected, with Merthyr just 10 miles away and Cardiff only 30 minutes from the doorstep.
