Are you a passionate and caring Chef or Cook who enjoys creating nutritious, home-style meals that truly make a difference? Bangeston Hall, a specialist residential service supporting adults with autism in Pembroke Dock, is looking for a dedicated Chef/Cook to join our friendly and supportive catering team.
At Bangeston Hall, food plays an important role in daily life. You’ll help create balanced, enjoyable meals that meet individual dietary needs while contributing to a warm, homely environment for the people we support and our staff team.
About the Role
As our Chef/Cook, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared and served to a high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for adults with autism and staff

Planning menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences

Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen

Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness

Completing and maintaining kitchen documentation, including food and equipment temperature records

Cleaning all kitchen areas in line with schedules and safety procedures

Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used correctly

Reporting maintenance or equipment issues promptly to management

Supporting stock control, storage, and rotation of food items
What We’re Looking For

A caring, reliable, and organised individual with a passion for food

Experience working in a professional kitchen environment

Ability to work independently and manage kitchen responsibilities

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Experience in a care or residential setting is desirable but not essential
Qualifications & Training

Catering qualification (City & Guilds / BTEC or equivalent)

Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate

Experience of supervising or leading within a kitchen environment
