We’re looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our warm and welcoming Oakfield service in Cardiff, supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and emotional or mental health needs.

What You’ll Do as a Support Worker
In this rewarding Support Worker role, you will:
- Promote emotional, physical and social wellbeing through consistent, caring support
- Build strong, trusting relationships so every child feels safe and understood
- Provide personal care where required, always with dignity and respect
- Encourage independence and support the development of social and life skills
- Support education, home activities and community engagement
- Work closely with colleagues and professionals to deliver person-centred care
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Help with everyday household tasks including cooking, cleaning and meal preparation
What We’re Looking For in a Support Worker
You don’t need previous care experience — we’re looking for the right values. A great Support Worker will have:
- A caring, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends on a rota
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- A willingness to learn — full training is provided
This Support Worker role involves regulated activity with children and requires an Enhanced DBS with children’s barred list check.
