Make a Real Difference. Build a Brighter Future.
Are you compassionate, patient, and driven by the desire to positively impact someone's life? At our warm and welcoming home in Gowerton, we're looking for individuals who want to make a meaningful difference every single day.
At Priority Childcare, we support adults who may have experienced trauma, live with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, or require additional support to live fulfilled and independent lives. Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, stable, and supportive environment where people can build confidence, develop skills, and thrive.
Here's what one of our Support Workers had to say about working here:
"I value working here because it's such a supportive and collaborative environment. Every team member is committed to delivering excellent care and support. The people we support make this role so rewarding. Seeing their progress and achievements gives real purpose to my work."
And from one of the people we support:
"I like living here because I can be myself. Staff support me through good days and difficult days, and they always encourage me to achieve my goals and try new things."
What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, every day is different, but always meaningful. You'll be:
- Supporting adults with their physical, emotional, and social needs in a nurturing environment.
- Being a positive role model and promoting confidence, wellbeing, and independence.
- Encouraging independent living skills through social, recreational, educational, and community-based activities.
- Working as part of a strong and supportive team to deliver person-centred care and support.
- Keeping accurate records of progress, support provided, behaviours, and incidents.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, including cooking, household duties, and personal care where required.
Your support could have a lasting impact on someone's quality of life and future independence.
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who is:
- Positive, resilient, and ready for a challenge.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely committed to supporting others.
- A clear and confident communicator.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- A driver with a full UK licence (essential for supporting individuals with appointments, activities, and community access).
Previous care experience is helpful, but not essential. If you have the right values, we'll provide all the training you need.
What We Offer
- Blue Light Card – discounts at thousands of UK retailers.
- Refer a Friend Scheme – earn up to £1,000 per successful referral.
- Clear career progression – 97% of our managers were promoted internally.
- Fully funded qualifications to support your development.
- Health Plan after probation.
This is more than a job. It's the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while building a career you can be proud of.
