£13.45 - £13.75 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications (plus £57 per sleep-in)

As part of Orbis Education and Care, Priority Childcare provides specialist support to adults who may have experienced trauma, face mental health challenges, have learning disabilities, or require additional support to live independently. A Day in the Life of a Support Worker at Blaen Y Waun
- Supporting adults with their emotional, social, and physical needs in a safe, caring environment.
- Acting as a positive role model, encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development.
- Supporting with social, leisure, educational, and community-based activities.
- Tailoring support to meet individual needs, preferences, and person-centred support plans.
- Recording progress, activities, and any incidents clearly and accurately.
- Helping with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, household duties, and developing independent living skills.
- Supporting at Ty Canol, the second home of Blaen Y Waun, located just a few minutes away.

What You'll Need as a Support Worker at Blaen Y Waun
- A compassionate, resilient, and caring nature.
- A valid driving licence (essential).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential. Full training is provided.
Please note: This role involves working with vulnerable adults and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
